3-Ingredient Coconut Milk (GF, DF, Vegan)

In this modern world filled with meaningless & confusing marketing terms like “plant-based” where staple foods are becoming ultra-processed for no reason, I want to make your daily milk of choice work harder to support your body. If you can tolerate dairy, all good, choose organic, but here is a three ingredient non-dairy recipe for Coconut Milk. My recommendation is to put aside the processed dairy-alternative milks filled with oils, gums, sugar, & too many artificial sweeteners for this. Recipe below…

Ingredients:

-3 cups shredded coconut

-Big pinch of sea salt

-4 cups warm water

Directions:

-Let the shredded coconut & salt soak in the warm water for 15 minutes. You can do this directly in your blender.

-Blend for 3 minutes on a low-medium speed, avoiding any blender explosions.

-Strain through either a nut milk bag or a fine mesh strainer lined with cheesecloth into a bowl.

-Pour into clean glass jars, allow the milk to cool, pop the lids on, refrigerate, & enjoy!

No need for the inflammatory ingredients when simplicity actually tastes good, saves you time, & honestly saves you money. Let me know how it turn out!

For your health,

Lily
