Grain-Free Crumble Fruit Bowls (GF, DF, Vegan)
Hey There,
March is my birthday month, so I’ll be celebrating with my favorite Grain-Free Crumble over fruit & yogurt. This recipe is gluten free, dairy free, & vegan so more people can partake. How inviting? I definitely prefer a celebration that doesn’t completely throw my body off & I’d pick this over cake any day. Recipe as follows…
Crumble Ingredients:
-1 cup almond flour
-1 cup pecans, chopped
-2/3 cup shredded coconut
-1/4 cup coconut oil, melted & cooled
-2 tbsp pure maple syrup
-2 tbsp water, preferably filtered
-2 tbsp chia seeds
-1 tbsp coconut sugar
-1/2 tsp salt
-1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
-1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
-1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Fruit Bowl Ingredients:
-Unsweetened coconut yogurt (I like to use unsweetened vanilla yogurt or feel free to use Greek yogurt if dairy is tolerated)
-Fruit of choice from berries to slices pears
-Sumac, as topping
Directions:
-Preheat oven to 325F.
-In a mixing bowl, combine all crumble ingredients & use your hands to mix together evenly. The mixture should loosely clump up.
-Line a baking sheet with parchment paper & spread the grain-free crumble mixture across in chunks.
-Bake for 30-35 minutes total, flipping halfway through. We’re looking for grain-free crumble to begin to brown & smell fragrant.
-While the crumble is baking, assemble the individual fruit bowls with fruit of your choice & dollops of unsweetened yogurt.
-Once the crumble is slightly cooled, scatter across the top of each bowl, sprinkle with sumac, & enjoy!
Notes:
**I like the sumac from Burlap & Barrel as my topping! Use my code “LILYFEEDSYOU” for a free grinder of fragrant peppercorns.
**A bit of citrus zest like orange or lemon goes well on top.
**Fresh mint works well too.
For your health,
Lily
